7 Month Old Not Sleeping More Than 2 Hours A Night!!?

My son is now almost 7 months old. At around 4-5 months old he was sleeping a full 6-9 hours a night. Now recently for the past 2-3 weeks maybe even closer to a month he's been waking up every 1-2 hours. The past week it's been every hour... I have no clue where this came from or why. I give him medicine before bed because I thought maybe he could be teething but it doesn't help. Does anybody have any advice or any clue why this could be?!
